Chelsea Tugaw, a recent Upper Limit Aviation (ULA) graduate and former Certified Flight Instructor with ULA in Cedar City, Utah, was instrumental in fighting the wildfire yesterday near Deer Creek Reservoir. The fire in Wasatch County is being called, “The Wheeler Fire”. The Deer Creek Reservoir is located on the Provo River in western Wasatch County, about 16 miles northeast of Provo, Utah.
Ms. Tugaw joined the fire fighting team at PJ Helicopters (Red Bluff, California) earlier this summer after her successful stint at Upper Limit Aviation. Chelsea was dispatched from California by PJ Helicopters to join the firefighting efforts here in Utah a few days ago.
PJ Helicopters firefighting services contracts out to offer a diversified fleet of helicopters well-suited for numerous fire suppression applications, including long-line water-bucketing. PJ’s helicopter pilots are equipped to move large amounts of water for any firefighting situation, including fighting the Wheeler fire.

A human-caused wildfire raging near Deer Creek Reservoir in Wasatch County continued to grow Tuesday, reaching 600 acres as fire crews battled canyon winds and tried to wrest control over the blaze.
