Standards

Training-operation standards

Many rental operators maintain aircraft to minimum regulatory inspections. ULA maintains its fleet to the standards of an active flight training operation.

Inspections

100-hour, annual, preventative

Aircraft receive FAA-required 100-hour inspections, annual inspections, and preventative maintenance, with continuous oversight from instructors, pilots, and maintenance personnel.

In-house shop

Faster turnaround

Because maintenance is performed in-house, discrepancies are identified and corrected quickly. That improves safety and aircraft availability.

Requirements

Before you rent

ULA rents aircraft for non-training purposes and time building to both students and non-students. Before renting, pilots must:

  • Complete all required rental documentation
  • Provide proof of approved non-owned aircraft rental insurance
  • Meet applicable FAA currency requirements
  • Successfully complete a checkout flight with a ULA Chief Pilot or designated Check Instructor
  • Demonstrate familiarity with ULA operating procedures, aircraft systems, and rental procedures

Additional checkout requirements may apply based on aircraft type, pilot experience, and intended flight operations.

Current aircraft hourly rates are on our fleet and rates page.
