Private and instrument
Private Pilot Certificate with Instrument Rating, FAA minimum flight hours, and a Second-Class medical certificate recommended. Students using an FAA-approved curriculum must hold an instrument rating or be concurrently enrolled.
Private through commercial

How do commercial hour minimums work?
Published package pricing is Part 61, with a 250-hour commercial minimum. Eligible students in an FAA-approved curriculum can sit at 190 total hours, and that format supports most VA and visa requirements. Admissions can recommend a path based on your situation.
What can I do with a commercial certificate?
Paid flying: instructing, survey, charter, and airline-track time building. Most career-track students continue into CFI training here or follow the airline careers path.
